The President of LG Electronics was identified as Jeff Hong and the LG Mobile Division Head was identified as Jon Santico. Evidence and details available. Based on information from what was identified as the U.S. government agency Consumer Product Safety Commission, with url address http://www.cpsc.gov. , said agency announced: (1) " LG Electronics Inc., of Seoul, South Korea, is . . . recalling about 100,000 Goldstar, General Electric, and Sears Kenmore portable dehumidifiers. These dehumidifiers have an internal electrical connection that can overheat, presenting a potential fire hazard to consumers. LG Electronics has received seven reports of dehumidifiers overheating, including four reports of fire within the units, with smoke damage to surrounding objects. (2) a recall to repair LG Three-Door Refrigerators.Problem: Based on information from said agency: "A faulty component in the condenser fan motor can short circuit. This could cause the condenser fan motor to overheat, posing a potential fire hazard to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: LG Electronics has received 82 reports of incidents involving a condenser fan motor failure due to a failed capacitor arcing and smoking. There has been smoke damage in a few incidents."

LG Electronics Philippines up to March 4,2009, has not provided me with a reply to my letter of inquiry, which based on evidence, was received by said corporation on April 14, 2008.
