12 accident-prone areas identified

The following was published on Monday April 7, 2008:
"The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has identified 14 "block spots" or accident-prone areas on Metro Manila, warning motorists to take extra precaution while driving in these places. Robert Esquivel, head of the enforcement unit of the Traffic Operations Center (TOC) said the 14 treacherous spots include the intersections of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Aurora Blvd., EDSA and Quezon Avenue, EDSA and Bansalangin St., EDSA and Arayat St., EDSA and Oliveros Drive, and EDSA and Main Avenue. The other accident-prone areas are EDSA-Farmers Cubao, EDSA in front of Camp Aguinaldo, EDSA Kamuning Flyover, EDSA -Kamias Road, E. Rodriguez Avenue in front of St. Luke's Medical Center, P. Tuazon Blvd - 15th Avenue, Katipunan Avenue and the IBP Road Litex Road.
